Neighborhood Assistance Tax Credit Program

September 9, 2015 -Maryville, Missouri: Lettuce Dream is a non-profit organization in Maryville, Missouri dedicated to helping those with a cognitive and developmental disability achieve their dreams of satisfying work, greater community connection and steps toward independence. The group aims to build hydroponic greenhouses where individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities can come to learn valuable job skills and enjoy social interaction with others. The Missouri Department of Economic Development gave its approval of this endeavor in the form of NAP (Neighborhood Assistance Program) tax credits. Lettuce Dream Awarded Grant for Building Project

Lettuce Dream board members were presented a grant from the MFA Incorporated Charitable Foundation on July 1, 2015. From left to right: Dick Van Vactor , Margaret Pierson, and Jeff Myers, Manager of the Maryville MFA store. Lettuce Dream was presented with the $1,500.00 grant that will aid the organization’s first phase of its building project that will have a large impact on Northwest Missouri communities.
