2nd Annual Amazing Lettuce Chase

Area residents will again have a chance to test their knowledge of history as they decipher clues to places of interest and historical significance throughout Nodaway County on the second annual Amazing Lettuce Chase on Saturday, July 28. This event will fully benefit Lettuce Dream.

The Amazing Lettuce Chase is a  spin-off of the popular television series “The Amazing Race,” although this local event is not a race, 4-person teams are started at 15-minute intervals with teams given a choice of starting times. The Chase begins with a tour of the greenhouse facility at 1623 E. Second in Maryville. The ending location, an air-conditioned facility where refreshments will be served, is provided by the final clue.

All participants receive free gifts and are entered into a drawing for more than $2,000 worth of prizes. Prizes will also be awarded to teams with the best costume, most original photo, and best team name. Registration fee is $100 per team.
